Drive-through Blessing of the Bikes planned Sunday

A drive-through Blessing of the Bikes will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at the flagpole area at the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company grounds, 268 Canal St.

The Revs. Gary and Lisa Lyon from Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, will provide individual blessings to each driver and rider as they pull up.

Everyone is welcome.

Burrell School District announces kindergarten registration

Burrell School District is accepting registrations for kindergarten students for the 2020-21 school year.

Forms are available at burrell.k12.pa.us.

Documents needed include an original birth certificate, immunization records, parent’s current driver’s license or state issued ID and proof of residency. Proof of residency includes a deed or mortgage agreement, current lease agreement or sales agreement that indicates completion of the home; and also a current property tax statement, utility bill or public assistance document.

Today: The Wheel Good Wednesday food truck event sponsored by the Apollo Events Committee and Apollo Area Historical Society will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Stanford lot on Clifford Avenue.
