Movie night to feature historical Leechburg films

The Leechburg Area Museum and Historical Society will host a free movie night at 6 p.m. May 19 in the social hall of Christ the King Church, 125 Park Road, Gilpin.

Films to be screened include the 2000 Leechburg Anniversary Celebration, newly found films of the 1950 celebration taken by R. W. Knoff and a film about the history of Johnetta by Bob Davis.

Floral photography and art show hosted by NK Camera Club

The New Kensington Camera Club’s annual Spring Floral Photography and Art Show will continue through May 20 at the Focus on the Arts Gallery in Pittsburgh Mills Mall, Frazer.

Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Use Entry No. 2 by M@C Discount. Admission is free. Stop in and vote for your favorite photo or painting and be entered a prize drawing.

May 27: St. James Parish will sponsor a Super Patriotic Bingo at 7 p.m. in the parish activity center, 109 Owens View Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m. Cost: $30, includes bingo supplies, food and drinks. May 25: Buffalo Elementary School PTO will host a spirit night from 4 to 8 p.m. at Urban Air Cranberry trampoline and adventure park, 351 American Way. Cost: $23.99, does not include air socks.
