Armstrong County Community Foundation plans golf outing

A golf outing to benefit the Armstrong County Community Foundation will be July 14 at Lenape Heights Golf Resort, 950 Golf Course Road, Manor Township.

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start will be at 10 a.m. Cost is $125 per golfer and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will be skill prizes, a basket raffle, putting and chipping contests and a 50/50. For details, call 724-548-5897 or email samantha@servingtheheart.org.

Gathering on Grant to honor first responders

The first Vandergrift Gathering on Grant event of the summer will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday along Grant Avenue in the borough.

The theme will be a patriotic red, white and blue and local first responders, police officers, fire departments, veterans and the rescue dive team will be honored. There will be music, vendors food trucks and entertainment. The gathering is sponsored by the Vandergrift Business Association.

Free Breaking Bread dinner set Thursday

Knead Community Café, 1011 Barnes St., New Kensington, will host its monthly dine-in Breaking Bread dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the café.
