Freeport Theatre Festival seeking talent for summer season

The Freeport Theatre Festival will conduct auditions for its 36^th summer season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and May 24 at the theater on the Steele Family Farm, 2498 White Cloud Road, Allegheny Township.

Actors and singers are needed to fill roles in the upcoming season that will feature the premiere of the historical drama, “The Roeblings of Saxonburg,” and “A Vertical Stack of Harmony,” a musical cabaret.

Auditions will include reading from the scripts and for the musical, singers should be prepared to perform a song unaccompanied.

Jeep show planned at Lower Burrell VFW

The P-Dawg Jeep show will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lower Burrell Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1601 Wildlife Lodge Road, rain or shine.

Sponsored by the Sgt. Vinson A. Pelisari Jr. Memorial Fund and AKV Back the Blue, the event is held in memory of Sgt. Pelisari and his love of Jeeps.
