Golf tournament to benefit St. Joseph HS
The 29th annual Spartan Golf Scramble will be June 11 at Lenape Heights Golf Resort, Manor.
Registration will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch, golf, dinner and an auction. Dinner will be boxed and may be enjoyed outdoors or taken home.
Cost is $150 per golfer and includes lunch, cart and dinner. Dinner-only tickets are $25. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

AVH Auxiliary plans Mother’s Day plant sale
Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary will host a Mother’s Day Hanging Basket Sale from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday or until sold out in the drive-thru circle of parking lot 58, located to the left of the main hospital entrance, 1301 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights.
Baskets will be provided by Schnur’s Greenhouse. Flowers will cost $15; and ferns, $17. Cash and checks made out to AVH Auxiliary will be accepted. Masks and social distancing required. Proceeds will benefit auxiliary projects for the hospital.
Clean-up day planned May 15 at Crooked Creek
The annual shoreline and roadside clean up at Crooked Creek Lake, Bethel, will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 at the park.
Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing including a mask. Gloves, bags, safety vests and safety jackets will be provided.
Reservations are required by May 9 to volunteer. For reservations, call the park office at 724-763-2764.
