Comedy night to benefit youth lacrosse team

Deer Lakes Youth Lacrosse will host a comedy night fundraiser May 21 at West Deer Fire Hall No. 1, 1520 Saxonburg Blvd.

Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30. David Kaye, Sean Collier and Trey McDonough will be the featured performers.

Highlands HS musicians to present spring concert

Highlands High School Instrumental Music Department will present its spring concert, “Music of the Heavens,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school auditorium, Harrison.

The high school concert band and chamber ensembles will perform and there will be special student showcases by the visual art and science departments. Donations will be accepted.

Philatelists plan Butlerpex stamp show

Butlerpex 2022, the annual stamp and postcard exhibition and exchange of the Butler County Philatelic Society, will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora.

This year’s cachet envelope and insert card will feature Butler’s three Saul Brothers. Butlerpex will have a post office, children’s area, lunch bar, table auction and 11 dealers offering philatelic supplies, stamps and collectable postcards for the novice through the advanced collector, and free admission and parking.
