Comedy show to celebrate Casino Theater anniversary

The Casino Theater in Vandergrift will celebrate its 125th anniversary with a comedy show featuring Jimmy Krenn and rock comic Mark Eddie at 7:30 p.m. June 21 at the theater.

KDKA radio’s Larry Richert will be the master of ceremonies. A patio party for ticket holders will begin at 6 p.m. on the theater’s new west portico. For reservations and ticket information, visit casinotheatre.org.

Opening day set at LB farmers market

The weekly Lower Burrell Farmer’s Market will open the season from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bon Air School parking lot, 3260 Leechburg Road.

This week there will be 34 regular vendors, over 20 guest vendors, food trucks, free cotton candy and a presentation by Penn State Master Gardener Byrl Johnson.

The market will be open Saturdays through Oct. 4.

June 14: The Kiskiminetas Watershed Association will sponsor an Anything That Floats Regatta from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Families and groups are encouraged to bring their most creative float-worthy craft and float on the Kiski River from the Leechburg Firehall to the Riverfront Park canoe and kayak launch.
