Food distribution set Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-through food distribution for anyone in need from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway, 313 N. Pike Road.
No reservations are required. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Community welcome at free meal
First Presbyterian Church of Tarentum will host a free dine-in community dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 913 Lock St.
The menu will include pulled pork barbecues, macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw or salad and a cookie table. No reservations are required, and everyone is welcome.
Garden tours to aid Community Library of Allegheny Valley
Tours of the Rabkin Japanese Garden in Tarentum will be offered June 5 as a fundraiser for Community Library of Allegheny Valley.
Reservations are being accepted for sessions at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Mocktails and light appetizers will be served and there will be a silent auction. Cost is $25 and reservations are required. Those attending must be at least 16.
