Peoples Library to reopen at both locations
Beginning June 1 Peoples Library will be open to all visitors in accordance with the lifting of covid-19 occupancy restrictions. Curbside pickup will remain available.
Hours at Peoples Library New Kensington, 880 Barnes St. will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Hours at the Lower Burrell location, 3052 Wachter Ave., will be 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
All visitors are asked to wear a mask inside the library.
5K run and walk to benefit Deer Lakes Track and Field
Deer Lakes Track and Field will host a 5K run and walk at 9 a.m. June 19. The event will begin and end at the high school track, 163 East Union Road.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top male and female runners. Entry fee is $25.

Leechburg Museum to resume regular hours
The Leechburg Area Museum will resume regular hours beginning today and will be open to visitors after the Memorial Day parade.
Scheduled hours are noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

June 11 : St. Joseph High School is conducting an online basket raffle as part of the annual Spartan Scramble golf outing.
