Wheel Good Wednesdays planned in Apollo
The Wheel Good Wednesday food truck rally program will resume Wednesday in Apollo.
The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. every other Wednesday through Oct. 6 and will include musicians and local craft vendors. Visit the Apollo Events Committee on Facebook for lineups.
The event is sponsored by the Apollo Area Historical Society and Apollo Events Committee.
Dry cat food needed at Animal Protectors
Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, New Kensington, needs donations of bags of dry cat food for its community pet pantry.
All brands and sizes of food are welcome. Bring items to the back door of the shelter at 730 Church St. and ring the doorbell.
Knead Community Café accepting donations
Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is accepting donations to help the daily operation of the café, 1011 Barnes St.
Items on the café’s wish list include white premium napkins, Clorox wipes, disposable latex or nitrile gloves size large or extra-large, 6x6-inch or 9x9-inch single compartment Styrofoam hinged takeout containers, Awesome degreaser, powdered coffee creamet, foil sheet wraps, Tide or Gain laundry powdered detergent and Sam’s Club gift cards.
Donations will be accepted during business hours 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Saturday: Community Library of Allegheny Valley will offer a free teen technology show, “TikTok, YouTube and Making Your Own Beats,” at 11 a.m. online at Zoom.us. June 11: St. Joseph High School is conducting a $20,000 Super Raffle. Cost: $100 per ticket. Prizes include a $20,000 grand prize, three $1,000 runner-up prizes. Winner need not be present.
