Motorcycle run to benefit Toys for Tots
The fourth annual motorcycle run to benefit Toys for Tots will be June 13 at the Puzzles Restaurant and Lounge, 2714 Walnut St., McKeesport.
The event is sponsored by Springdale Marine Corps League and the Zodiac Motorcycle Club. Registration will be from 8 to 10 a.m. and kickstands up will be at 10:15 a.m. Cost: $20 per rider and passengers ride free with a new, unwrapped gift. Gift baskets are needed for a raffle.

Christopher’s Light children’s charity accepting donations
Due to the increasing number of families experiencing unemployment, Christopher’s Light is seeking donations to purchase personal hygiene products, clothing and birthday gifts for the children it serves in Armstrong, Westmoreland and Indiana counties.
Checks made out to Christopher’s Light can be sent to P.O. Box 94, Apollo PA 15613. Those in need can register at Christopherslight.com or by calling 724-980-2840.
PennDOT releases roadwork schedule
PennDOT crews will be working in the following areas of Westmoreland County this week:
• Stoney Hill Road, Upper Burrell: pipe repairs
• Falcon Park Road, Lower Burrell: pipe replacement
• Dutchman’s Road, Lower Burrell: crack sealing
• Craigdell Road, Lower Burrell: crack sealing
• Crestview Road, Washington Township: side dozing
• Washington Road, Washington Township: side dozing
• Gilmar Road, Washington Township: side dozing
Motorists should expect delays and possible closures in these areas.
Emergency food available at New Kensington Salvation Army
The Salvation Army in New Kensington is distributing food to residents through its pantry at 1101 Fifth Ave., New Kensington.
Anyone in need should ring the bell to the door by the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and food will be given out safely. Appointments are encouraged.
Anyone who is quarantined, or a member of the at-risk population can have food delivered to their home.
Donations of non-perishable food can be taken to the pantry during the same hours. To make an appointment and for details, call 724-335-7221.

Tuesday and Friday: The annual spring cleanup days have been rescheduled to be Tuesday and Friday. Pickup on Tuesday will be for Laneville, Locust Street, Stewart Street, Hickory Way, Buffalo Street, Washington Street, Franklin Street, Mill Street and Second Street Extension. Monday: Lower Burrell Council will conduct the agenda meeting at 7 p.m. partially by teleconference at city hall, 2800 Bethel St. Public participation through written comments is encouraged and preferred. Physical presence by the public will be limited and subject to 6-foot physical distancing. Those attending must wear a face mask.
