Hard-to-recycle event scheduled at Pittsburgh Mills
The Pennsylvania Resources Council will sponsor a collection of hard-to-recycle items from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.
Items that will be accepted for a $5 fee include cell and home telephones, computer towers, keyboards, laptops, mice, expanded polystyrene packaging material, microwave ovens, video game consoles and DVD players. For an additional fee, residents can recycle televisions, computer monitors, printers, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances and tires, with and without rims.

May 18: Boy Scout Troop 589 is accepting table reservations for a yard sale set for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Apollo Spring Church Sportsman Club, 1945 Route 56. Setup will be at 7 a.m. Cost: yard sale spaces, $15; vendor and crafters, $25. Spaces are 8-foot wide and do not include a table. Tuesday and Saturday: The Community Clothes Closet, 1129 Kenneth Ave., will be open from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Items available include clothing for all members of the family, shoes and linens. First-time customers receive 15 free items. Donations welcome during business hours.
