AVH Auxiliary plans Mother’s Day plant sale
Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary will sell hanging baskets and ferns for Mother’s Day from 7 a.m. Thursday or until sold out in the drive-thru circle of parking lot 58, located to the left of the main hospital entrance, 1301 Carlisle St., Harrison.
Baskets will be provided by Schnur’s Greenhouse. Flowers will cost $15 each and ferns, $18. Cash and checks made out to AVH Auxiliary will be accepted. Proceeds will benefit auxiliary projects for the hospital.
Drive-through food distribution set Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-thru food distribution for anyone in need from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in parking lot of the former JC Penney store at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.
Reservations are not required. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first come, first served basis.
Guests will complete a short registration process. Each household will need to complete an annual self-declaration of need form to receive food.
Stamp collectors plan Butlerpex
Butlerpex 2022, the annual stamp and postcard exhibition and exchange of the Butler County Philatelic Society, will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora.
The event will have a post office, children’s area, lunch counter, table auction and 10 dealers offering philatelic supplies, stamps and collectable postcards for the novice through the advanced collector, and free admission and parking.

May 27: St. James Parish will sponsor a Super Patriotic Bingo at 7 p.m. in the parish activity center, 109 Owens View Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m. Cost: $30, includes bingo supplies, food and drinks.
