Golf event to benefit Burrell Education Foundation

Burrell Education Foundation’s 21st Annual Golf Outing will be June 14 at Hill Crest Country Club in Lower Burrell. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m.

Fee is $125 per golfer; $475 per foursome; foursome must be paid in full prior to June 7. Entry fee includes golf and cart, refreshments, lunch at the turn and a barbecue dinner.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Proceeds benefit the educational, cultural and recreational activities of the Burrell Educational Foundation for residents of Upper and Lower Burrell.

Bless of the Bikes planned May 16 in Leechburg

A Blessing of the Bikes ceremony will be at noon May 16 at the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Co. grounds, 268 Canal St.

Registration will be at 11 a.m. and kick stands up will be at 1 p.m. A post-ride event will be in the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Hall with food, vendors and raffles. Donations will be accepted to benefit the fire company. The event is sponsored by Leechburg Volunteer Fire Co., Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church and Zodiac Motorcycle Club.

Drive-through food distribution set for Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills

Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-thru food distribution for anyone in need from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the rear parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer. No cars are permitted to arrive before 5 p.m.
