Staycation Fair planned by AK Valley Historical Society
The Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society will host a free Staycation Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 224 E. Seventh Ave., Tarentum.
Over 20 community groups and nonprofits will be on hand to pass out information and discuss the mission of their organization.
Free advice available for those with financial troubles
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches has free support services available for anyone who is having trouble making ends meet, is unemployed or needs help with budgeting and talking to bill collectors.

Living history event set Saturday in Kittanning
Armstrong County Historical Museum and Genealogical Society will host a free living history event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 300 N. McKean St., Kittanning.
Revolutionary War and Civil War era reenactors will have displays, encampments, talks and demonstrations. Tours of the museum will be available.
Free parking is available on Vine and McKean streets and behind the museum via the North Grant Avenue entrance.

Saturday: The Creativity Club at the St. Mary Family Community Center will have a Mother’s Day event for children in prekindergarten through sixth grade at 2 p.m. at the center, 407 Freeport Road. There will be stations to make a Mother’s Day gift, gift bags for finished projects and a chance to win a gift certificate to a local art studio.

Today: Gilpin Volunteer Fire Department will host bingo at 7:15 p.m. at the firehall, 113 Firehall Road.

Saturday: A spring bingo to benefit Lower Valley Community Food Bank will be at 7 p.m. at the Acme Club, 230 Herron Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m. Cost: $25, includes six bingo cards for 10 games, snacks and bottled water. Friday: Community Library of Allegheny Valley will be closed for computer updates. No computer services will be available, including check-in and checkout. The library is scheduled to reopen on Saturday.
Friday: Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars will have bingo at 7 p.m. at the post, 894 Veterans Lane. Doors open at 6 p.m., and there will be specials, a 50-50 raffle and final game jackpot.

Saturday: The free Drive-In Movies in the Parks program sponsored by the Allegheny County Parks Department will present “The Super Mario Brothers Movie” at dusk at Hartwood Acres Amphitheater, 4000 Middle Road. Gates open at 7 p.m. The movie is rated PG and guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. Tune your car radio to 87.9 FM for sound.
Jefferson Township
Today: Bingo will be at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion, 754 N. Pike Road. Doors open at 5 p.m. The kitchen will be open. Proceeds benefit post and auxiliary projects.
