Cub Scouts to collect items for homeless veterans

Cub Scout Packs 137 and 554 are participating in the Homeless Heroes Stocking Project that will supply stockings to 2,500 local homeless veterans.

Donations for the project will be accepted from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at Springdale United Presbyterian Church, 859 Pittsburgh St., Springdale. Items needed include shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush holders, wash cloths, soap, plastic soap holders, socks, gloves and $10 gift cards to Giant Eagle or Walmart.
