Tarentum seminar to discuss scams, skimming

First United Presbyterian Church of Tarentum will host a free program, “Skimming, Scams and Cons,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 913 Lock St.

Representatives from the Tarentum and Harrison police departments will discuss credit card skimming, grandparent and holiday scams, the Dark Web, identity theft and more.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, and everyone is welcome.


Free lunch planned at Poke Run Church

Poke Run Presbyterian Church will host its free monthly Soup for the Soul luncheon at noon Wednesday at the church, 1091 Poke Run Church Road.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The event will be the second Wednesday of the month through May. For details, call 724-327-5563.
