Annual West Deer toy drive underway
West Deer Police Department is sponsoring its 24rd annual Toys for Children drive to benefit children age 1 to 14 living in low-income households in the Deer Lakes School District.
Cub Scout Pack 965 will drop off bags Saturday throughout West Deer to homes in West Deer and return Nov. 21 to pick bags that contain toys.
New toys can be dropped off from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 8 at the police department, 109 East Union Road. Monetary donations can be sent to West Deer Police Special Programs, 109 East Union Road, Cheswick PA 15024. Money will be used to purchase additional toys, winter clothing and wrapping paper supplies.

TryLife Center accepting donations
The TryLife Center in Lower Burrell is accepting donations of new and gently-used children’s clothing in sizes newborn through 4T, diapers, wipes, bottles, maternity clothes, highchairs, pack n’ plays, walkers and infant seats.
Donations should be dropped off from noon to 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the red donation door at the center, 1155 Wildlife Lodge Road. Any items left outside of these hours will be exposed to the weather.
Monetary donations are welcome and can be sent to TryLife Center, 1155 Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell PA 15068. For information, call 724-339-9399.

Burtner House Christmas tree ornaments now available locally
Burtner House Restoration Society Christmas tree ornaments are now available at the Wellness Center, 1616 Broadview Blvd., The Hairdressers, 2207 Freeport Road, and Danielle’s Hair Salon, 2216 Freeport, Road, all in Natrona Heights, and Diamond Antiques and Gifts, 311 E Sixth Ave., Tarentum.
Ornaments are brass with a gold finish and have an image of the house and Christmas tree with a bicentennial banner and cost $22. Proceeds benefit the Restoration Society.
Harrison diaper pantry plans monthly drive-up distribution
The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, Harrison, will distribute diapers 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 926 Painter Ave., and at Sheldon Park, both in Natrona Heights.
Recipients must drive up and remain in their vehicles.
First-time recipients must still provide present their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.
