Plum HS to sponsor toy drive
Plum Senior High School will sponsor its sixth annual Toys For Tots toy drive beginning Wednesday.
A drop off box will be placed at each school on Wednesday and the drive will continue through Dec. 9.
The school JROTC and other volunteers will host a drive-thru stuff the bus event from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9 in the high school bus lot. Donors should remain in their vehicles.
Clothing, household items being collected
Women of Alle-Kiski Engaging, a division of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber, is conducting new, unused items through Sunday for local women in need.
Articles being collected include over the counter medication for adults and children, pajamas for women, boys and girls in all sizes, women’s underwear in all sizes, $10 gasoline gift cards, and kitchen items such as cutting boards, pots and pans, utensils, dishes and baking sheets. Donations will be given to HAVIN Domestic Violence Shelter in Armstrong County and the Alle-Kiski Area HOPE Center Inc.

Penn State Extension offers health webinar
Penn State Extension will offer a free live webinar, “Food Safety for Donated Foods,” at 1 p.m. Nov. 23 and Dec. 7 online.
Choose either session. Topics will include reasons why food safety is important to your organization and what types of foods can be donated safely.

Saturday and Monday: The Community Clothes Closet, 1129 Kenneth Ave., will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Monday. Face masks required, and a maximum of 25 people can be in the store at one time. Donations welcome only during operating hours.
Sunday: Knead Community Café is conducting an online basket raffle through Sunday on the café website. Proceeds will help sustain café operations and its mission to feed all regardless of means.
