Concert to benefit local food bank
A concert featuring mezzo soprano Marianne Cornetti and pianist Bryan Sable will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 847 10th Ave., Brackenridge.
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches food bank.
Leechburg Library to host spaghetti dinner and baking contest
Leechburg Public Library will sponsor a Star Baker Contest Sunday as part of a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave., Leechburg.
Any type of baked goods may be entered – pies, cakes, scones, cupcakes, nutrolls or whatever your specialty is. Create two of the same entry – one will be blind judged by a panel of judges and the other will become part of a baked goods raffle. The winner will win $100, and a Star Baker apron.

The spaghetti dinner will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $8 and are available at Coco Coffeehouse, the library, the borough office, Gifted Garden and from member of Friends of the Library. Proceeds will benefit the library. For details, visit Leechburg Public Library on Facebook.
Violin concert to be presented in Leechburg
Leechburg First Evangelical Lutheran Church will host a concert, “Beethoven In the Face of Adversity,” featuring Carnegie Mellon violinist Monique Mead at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church, 358 Main St.
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Leechburg Food Bank.
Toy drive to benefit local children
Children’s charity Christopher’s Light is conducting a Christmas toy drive for children living in Westmoreland, Armstrong and Indiana counties through the end of November.
