Neil Simon comedy, ‘Fools’ to be performed at Valley High School
The Valley High School Drama Club will present the Neil Simon comedy, “Fools,” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the high school auditorium, New Kensington.

Saxonburg woman’s club to place wreaths on vets’ headstones
GFWC Saxonburg District Woman’s Club will participate in this year’s National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 18.
The club is hoping to place a fresh balsam wreath on all 300 of the headstones of veterans who were laid to rest in Saxonburg Cemetery. Wreaths can be sponsored for $15 each. To sponsor a wreath, visit wreathsacrossamerica.org.

Food drive to benefit Rosedale Food Pantry
Lori Hummel of Howard Hanna Real Estate, Oakmont, will sponsor a Thanksgiving food drive through Wednesday at Fox’s Pizza Den, 314 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. A wrap-up party will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at Fox’s. Most need items include flour, sugar, canned pumpkin, vegetables, fruit and sweet potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, baking spices, cereal and pie filling. Collected items will be given to the Rosedale Food Pantry that serves over 700 families in Oakmont, Verona, Plum and Penn Hills. For questions, call Hummel at 412-287-1739.
New Kensington holiday event seeks parade participants
The New Kensington Recreation Committee is accepting applications from groups, fire departments, clubs and organizations to march in the Dec. 4 Christmas in the city.
