Christmas for Vets event accepting reservations
Five Forces will host its annual Christmas for Veterans event at 6 p.m. Dec. 13at the Lower Burrell Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1601 Wildlife Lodge Road.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served and there will be entertainment, drinks, raffles, merchandise and prizes. Attendees must show DD214 paperwork, current military ID or proper discharge paperwork. Tickets are free for veterans and current military. Guest tickets are $25 each, plus drinks. Those attending must be at least 18.

Free barbecue dinners available Saturday
Dynamic Community Foundation will distribute takeout free barbecue dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday in rear lot of the NextHome Dynamic building, 237 Fifth St., Freeport.
The menu will include pork, macaroni & cheese and green beans. Meals will be first come, first served while the food lasts. No reservations are required.
Turkey Trot bingo to benefit three local fire companies
A turkey trot bingo will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma School House Hall, 171 Thorn St., Oklahoma Borough.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Cost is $30 and includes everything needed to play. There will be 15 regular games, five specials, a $1,000 full card jackpot game and a $500 full card jackpot game.
