Small Acts of Kindness

Patricia Rossi of Arnold writes, “On a wintry March evening, due to a miscommunication, I found myself alone and utterly lost in Fox Chapel. As I stood disoriented on the berm of a dark, unmarked road with blinking emergency lights, each vehicle that whizzed by left me feeling more distraught. At last a young man in a small dark car stopped and led me to my destination. After giving me clear rerouting directions, he drove off. I regret that, although I thanked him, I shied from asking his name, and could not think of a way to repay him. If only the scene could be revisited with a revised script! I hope this tribute to a millennial angel’s kindness is brought to his attention.”

Did your neighbor call and check on you, or bring a face mask or groceries? The Stroller will recognize those around us who are performing small acts of kindness for others during this stressful time. Send a short, one-paragraph note highlighting someone and how they helped you, your family or your organization to The Stroller at vndnews@tribweb.com.
