Leechburg Community Thanksgiving service planned Tuesday

The Leechburg Ministerium will host its annual Thanksgiving service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 251 Main St.

Donations will be accepted for the Leechburg Food Bank.

Food distribution set Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-through food distribution for anyone in need from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway, 313 N. Pike Road.

No reservations are required. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ham dinner giveaway accepting reservations

Cook Medical will distribute free ingredients for a ham dinner in a drive-thru from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at its Parks Township facility, 1186 Montgomery Lane.

In cooperation with Naser Foods and Held’s Shop ‘N. Save, dinners will include half a ham, a bag of potatoes, cranberries and a pie. Reservations are required by Dec. 10 and only 125 meals are available.
