Annual Lions Club event goes virtual this year
The annual Jack Marino Tarentum Area Lions Club Charity event will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 online on the club Facebook page.
Prizes totaling $5,000 will be given away. Proceeds will benefit Lions Club charities. Tickets are $50.

Knead Community Café collecting winter clothing items
Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is collecting new hats, gloves, scarves, socks and small toiletries during business hours for distribution during its weekly grab and go meal distributions.
Items can be dropped off from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 5 at the café, 1011 Barnes St.
St. Margaret Foundation to present gift bags to holiday patients
St. Margaret Foundation is raising money to deliver gift bags to patients who are hospitalized on Christmas Day at UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh.
The Christmas gift will be a green bag with a mercury glass snowflake votive holder with a special holiday message.
