Toy drive to benefit NK Salvation Army

A drive-thru toy drive to benefit the New Kensington Salvation Army will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Forza Motors, 2555 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.

Toys should be new and unwrapped and placed in the trunk of your vehicle. Donors should remain in their car and will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant. Checks and money orders made out to the Salvation Army will also be accepted.

The event is sponsored by the office of chiropractor Dr. Lawrence York. To make a donation to the local Red Kettle Campaign, visit salarmy.us/NewKensingtonKettle.


New community food pantry open in Natrona

The new Natrona Community Pantry located in Natrona Community park, 12-20 River Road, Harrison, is open for donations and to serve people’s needs.

Donations needed include spaghetti, canned goods and boxed dinners.


Tarentum Eagles Auxiliary selling 2021 lottery calendars

Tarentum Eagles Auxiliary is conducting a 2021 lottery calendar fundraiser.

Tickets are $25 for two numbers. For tickets and details, call 724-859-0344 and leave a message. Proceeds will benefit community charities.

Varieties: chocolate meringue, coconut meringue, lemon meringue, apple, dutch apple, blackberry, wild blueberry, razzleberry, cherry, peach, raisin, and pumpkin and pumpkin rolls, all $9.50; nut logs and pecan pies, $12.
