Pure Gold to headline Vandergrift benefit concert
The Casino Theatre will host a concert Nov. 15 featuring Pure Gold, LTZ and the Nied’s Hotel Band to benefit Vandergrift Public Library.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance for reserved seats and will be $25 at the door if available. For tickets, visit casinotheater.org.
Pop-up food bank day to aid SNAP recipients
The Sia Center Event Hall in Vandergrift is collecting donations for a pop-up food bank day planned Friday at the center for those who receive SNAP benefits and are affected by the government shutdown.
Items needed include non-perishables, baby items including formula, frozen items, cases of water and other drinks. All items must be sealed. Monetary donations will be used to buy food.
Volunteer help is also needed to prepare and set up at the event. Donations can be dropped off at the center, 716 Wallace St. or at Jenn’s Play Care, 516 18th St., North Apollo. For drop-off hours and to offer your time, call the center at 724-561-3569. To give online, visit square.link/u/7ueTYkAe.
