Valley High School to present murder-mystery comedy

The Valley High School Drama Club will present the comedy, ”Madam’s Been Murdered, Tea Will Be Late,” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the high school auditorium, Stevenson Blvd., New Kensington.

Night of comedy to benefit Autism Speaks

Monroe’s Pit Crew will host a comedy night fundraiser to benefit Autism Speaks at 8 p.m. Saturday at AK Valley Park, 600 Freeport Road, building 44, New Kensington.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Performers will include Gab Bonesso and David Kaye, along with headliner Dave Dugan. Tickets are $25, and include mixers. BYOB. A buffet dinner will be available and there will be basket auction and 50/50 raffle. Those attending must be at least 21 years old.

Thanksgiving luncheon slated at Burrell High School

Burrell High School Student Government Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Luncheon for district residents with valid Senior Citizen Blue and White cards will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 21 in the high school cafeteria.

For reservations, call 724-334-1403, ext. 2045, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservation deadline is Nov. 15. Only 200 reservations will be accepted.


Harrison diaper pantry in need of donations

The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, Harrison, is seeking donations of diapers in sizes 2 to 6 for its monthly diaper pantry distribution.

The pantry will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 926 Painter Ave., Natrona Heights.

To qualify to receive a package of 50 diapers or 25 Pull-Ups per child, parents or guardians must present their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.

Saturday: A free event for teens will be from noon to 5 p.m. at the Vine Event Center, 6003 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. There will be food, games, gift card give-aways and speakers. Sponsored by local Christian ministries.

Jefferson

Saturday: A craft show to benefit the Knoch High School Girls Basketball program will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school, 345 Knoch Road. There will be a 50/50 and basket raffles. Admission: $3; younger than 12 and veterans, free.

Lower Burrell

Saturday: The Clothes Line at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items will be sold for 25 cents each or five for $1. A variety of clothes for all members of the family will be available. Details: 724-335-0559

New Kensington

Saturday: The Community Clothes Closet, 1129 Kenneth Ave., offers winter clothing, including coats, shoes, boots, for men, women and children, linens and blankets, and uniforms for students of Mary Queen of Apostles School. First-time customers receive 15 free items. Hours: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, noon to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A drop-off container for donations is at the entrance.

Parks

Saturday: Kiddies’ Korner Nursery School will host a craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parks Township Fire Hall, Dalmation Drive. There will be food, a basket raffle and cake walk. Free admission.

Vandergrift

Saturday: A bingo to benefit the Kiski Area Varsity Baseball spring trip will be at 7 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 141 Sumner Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Packages: $25, includes all games but early birds and quickies. The kitchen will be open. Donations of non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies, new men’s clothing and personal hygiene products will be accepted to benefit the Mechling-Shakely Veterans Center. West Leechburg
