Open house planned at Lost Dreams Awakening

Lost Dreams Awakening will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 at the center, 408 Eighth St., New Kensington.

The organization terms itself as a community of people seeking harm reduction and recovery from substance use.

The facility has added another building and eight coaches to the staff. There will be tours at noon and 2 p.m. Reservations are requested. For reservations, call 724-212-7899 and leave a message.

Reservations open for Allegheny Valley brunch for seniors

Reservations are being accepted for the Allegheny Valley School District’s annual Senior Citizens brunch planned for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 21 in the Springdale Jr.-Sr. High School cafeteria.

Residents 62 and older who live in the district are welcome. Reservations are required. To make a reservation, call 724-274-5300 by Friday.

Free lunches available Thursday at Salvation Army

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.
