Halloween event to benefit Animal Protectors
Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will host a trick-or-treat fundraiser from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, 730 Church St., New Kensington.
Costumes are welcome. There will be treats, pumpkin painting and more. Admission is $4 per child; $12 per family. Leashed dogs are welcome on the shelter lawn.
Fall party planned by New Kensington Salvation Army
The Salvation Army’s free Fall Party will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the center, 255 Third St., New Kensington.
There will be a cookout, the Kona Ice Truck, games, prizes and vendors.
Concordia to sponsor informational dinner
Concordia at Cabot Haven Apartments will have a dinner and a show event featuring the Pittsburgh Belairs Oct. 23 in the Haven I dining hall, 112, Marwood Road, Jefferson Township.
A free dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The menu will include pumpkin soup, pasta carbonara and apple crisps with sea salt caramel gelato. A seminar, “Benefits of Rightsizing in Retirement,” will be after dinner. A happy hour and concert by oldies group the Pittsburgh Belairs will be afterward.
