Benefit truck and tractor pull set Saturday in South Buffalo

The Kevin Haas Memorial Truck and Tractor Pull will be Saturday at South Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department, 100 Fire Hall Road.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. Tractors will begin at noon and trucks will start at 5 p.m.

There will be a car show from noon to 8 p.m. Car show registration is $10. Admission and parking are free. There will be a basket raffle, concession stand and 50/50 raffle.

Proceeds will be donated to a trust fund for Haas’ daughter. Concession proceeds will benefit the fire department. For details, call Erin at 724-599-4563.


Free produce distribution set in Natrona

Building Block of Natrona will host its free Veggies for All and Cosmetics Closet outreach for residents in need at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 28 Garfield St., Natrona, Harrison.

Patrons should not arrive before 12:45 p.m. Free produce, and personal care and hygiene products will be distributed until supplies run out.

Extra hygiene steps will be taken. Income verification is not required, and everyone is welcome. Face masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.


Library local history department open for research

The Local History department at Community Library of Allegheny Valley in Harrison now offers appointments to access library resources.

Appointments are available from noon to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Access will be available to all local history resources including a computer, the microfilm reader and personal research assistance.

Pot Love Dinner planned Saturday in Leechburg

Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, will host its monthly free Pot Love Dinner at noon Saturday at the church, 271 Main St.

The event will be takeout only and reservations are required by Friday. There is a limit of one dinner per family member. Those with reservations will be served first. For reservations, call 724-845-1901 or email church@crcpc.org.
