Classical music concert planned in Tarentum
The concert series at Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, will present, “Variations on a Harp,” at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, 305 Allegheny St.
Harpist Isabel Cardenes, violinist Andres Cardenes and violist Warren Davidson will perform music by Handel, Bach, Faure and others. Donations will be accepted and refreshments served afterward.
Doggie pet fair to benefit canine cancer research
A Doggie Day Out Pet Fair will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Splash N Dash K9 Sports, 1901 Sheena Drive.
There will be vendors, doggie costume contest, door prizes and raffles. Demonstrations of agility, fly ball and nose work will be at 12:30, 2 and 3 p.m. Admission is $2; or $5 per family. Dogs must be on a fixed leash and have proof of rabies vaccination.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to AKC Canine Health Foundation for Cancer Research. Sponsored by the Bichon Frise Club of Western Pennsylvania.
Penn State New Kensington to host Alle-Kiski Job Fair
The Alle-Kiski Job Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Penn State New Kensington Athletic Center, 3550 Seventh St. Road, Upper Burrell.
Over 50 local employers will be on hand at the free event. Anyone who needs a job, a job change or is looking at career options is welcome. To register and for more information, visit Penn State New Kensington’s website.
A free shuttle to the event will leave Career Link in the Westmoreland County Community College Building, 1150 Fifth Ave., New Kensington.
