Purse bash to aid TinyCause dog rescue

A purse bash to benefit TinyCause dog shelter will be Nov. 2 at Willowbrook Country Club, 181 Grossheim Road, Allegheny Township.

A cocktail social will be from noon to 12:30 p.m., brunch will be at 12:30 p.m. and raffles will start at 1 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include a mimosa, lite bites brunch, snacks, dessert, tea, coffee and water and two chances in the purse raffle. There will be a cash bar, a basket raffle and 50-50. Tickets for those who can’t attend are $25 and include two chances in the raffles.

Halloween costumes available at Community Library

Community Library of Allegheny Valley in Harrison will sell gently used Halloween costumes during operating hours starting Friday and continuing through Oct. 31.

Outfits of all sizes have been donated and will be sold at bargain prices to benefit the library, 1522 Broadview Blvd.


Veterans Day parade accepting entries

The Lower Burrell Veterans of Foreign Wars will sponsor the annual Veterans Day parade Nov. 11 in the city.
