Pasta dinner to benefit Children’s Free Care Fund

The Allegheny and Kiski Valley offices of Howard Hanna along with Villa Ballanca Restaurant will host a drive-thru pasta dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the restaurant, 2740 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, to benefit the annual Children’s Free Care Fund.

There will be 50/50 and basket of cheer raffles on site. Dinner tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 724-339-4000 or click here.


Hydrant flushing planned in Tarentum

Tarentum Borough will conduct the fall hydrant flushing program the next two weeks. Dates and locations are:

• Today: East Fourth to East Seventh avenues

• Wednesday: East Eighth through East 10th avenues

• Wednesday or Thursday: East 11th Avenue and surrounding areas

• Oct. 26: West Sixth Avenue area.

Customers may experience low pressure water discoloration and should test their water before washing clothes or using large quantities of water.


Fall Festival planned Oct. 30 at Salvation Army

The New Kensington Salvation Army will host a Fall Festival from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30 outside at the center, 255 Third St.

There will be free food, games, face painting, pictures and a campfire.
