Plum Education Association to host Festival of Honor fundraiser
The Plum Festival of Honor will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Plum High School, 900 Elicker Road.
There will be food trucks, vendors, a silent auction, entertainment and appearances by Iceburgh, the Pirate Parrot and Princess Belle. Sponsored by the Plum Education Association, there will be a costume parade at noon and the Plum Alum Concert will be from 1 to 5 p.m.
Admission is $20 per child and includes unlimited play at over 15 games, candy, an airbrush tattoo, a pumpkin from the patch, crafts and other activities. Proceeds will the benefit the families affected by the Rustic Ridge house explosion.
Float entries wanted for Lower Burrell Christmas parade
The City of Lower Burrell is seeking groups and organizations to sponsor a float in the Christmas parade planned at 7 p.m. Dec. 9.
The parade will begin at Hillcrest Shopping Center and end at Stewart School. Prizes will be awarded to the most festive, creative and entertaining entries. Entry deadline is Nov. 17.
