Open mic event planned Sunday in Brackenridge
The Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Band Together Pittsburgh will host an Open Mic event from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the banquet hall at Trinity United Methodist Church, 847 10th Ave., Brackenridge.
Microphones, keyboards, guitars, amps and percussion instruments will be available. No music experience is required. Pizza and soft drinks will be served and donations will be accepted. The public is welcome.
Banners to honor veterans in West Deer
West Deer Township is accepting orders for banners to honor township residents who served in the Armed Forces.
The double-sided banners will be printed by Gray Signs and measure 24 x 30-inches. Cost is $128.40 and includes tax.

Applications being accepted for Project Bundle Up, Christmas
Allegheny Valley Salvation Army is accepting registrations for Christmas and Project Bundle Up from 10 to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 25 at the Salvation Army, 917 Brackenridge Ave., Brackenridge.
Slots fill up fast. Applicants are encouraged to register early.
Bring the Goodfellows letter you received in the mail with all the items listed, or photo identification, proof of address, and birth certificates for each child. Social Security cards are not acceptable.

Interview with local veteran to be presented
The Allegheny-Kiski Historical Society will present excerpts from the veterans video program, “Southwestern Pennsylvania Goes to War,” at 1 p.m. Monday at the Heritage Museum, 224 E. Seventh Ave., Tarentum.
Portions to be screened will include an interview with the late Chuck Booth.
