New Kensington Fire stations to host open house events
The New Kensington Fire companies will welcome children and adults from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday for tours of the city’s five fire stations in observance of Fire Prevention Month.
The five stations, numbers and addresses are:

• No. 2 – 422 Freeport St.
• No. 3 – 1045 Victoria Ave.
• No. 4 – 1710 Seventh St.
• No. 5 – 556 Camp Ave.
Springdale football team collecting clothing for veterans
The Springdale Dynamo Football team is collecting sweatshirts, sweat pants, socks and toiletries through Nov. 11 to donate to veterans.
Sweatshirts and sweatpants are needed in sizes XL to 5X. Donations can be dropped off at Springdale Free Public Library, 331 School St.
Leechburg Public Library to open at new location
The Leechburg Public Library will open on Tuesday at its new location, 139 Market St.
New expanded hours will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Safety precautions will be observed, and face masks are required to enter.
