Salvation Army seeking participants for annual Angel Tree program
The Salvation Army is looking for churches and companies to take part in its annual Angel Tree program.
Children create lists that are shared with companies, small businesses, churches and individuals across 28 counties in western Pennsylvania. Toys and gifts are collected and sorted by hundreds of volunteers at Salvation Army locations and given to families to put under the tree on Christmas Day.

HOPE Center offers shelter for families and pets
The Alle-Kiski HOPE Center offers a Sheltering Animals and Families Together (SAF-T) Kennel to victims of domestic violence who are fleeing abuse with their pets.
The kennel allows families to bring their pets with them safely to an on-site kennel during their shelter stay.

Westmoreland County Marines to supply Christmas groceries
Westmoreland County Marines will provide Christmas groceries to local veterans’ families in need.
