Entries sought for bake-off fundraiser in Leechburg

The third annual spaghetti dinner and bake-off fundraiser to benefit Leechburg Public Library will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave., Leechburg.

Bake-off categories include cookies or brownies, cake or cheesecake and pies. All entries must be homemade, and bakers of all experience levels are welcome to enter. For details and an entry form, stop in at the library, 137 Market St.

A spaghetti dinner will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Marconi Club Mirror Room, dine-in only. The menu will include spaghetti, salad and bread for $10. Baked goods from the bake-off will be sold by the piece and there will be a cash bar and 50/50 raffle. For tickets, call 724-236-0080 or stop in a Coco Coffee House, 163 Market St., Leechburg, or at the library.


Bingo to benefit Lower Valley Community Food Bank

A harvest bingo to benefit the Lower Valley Community Food Bank will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Acme Club, 230 Herron Ave., Harmar.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $25 and includes six cards for the 10 regular games, soft drinks and water. Extra cards, food, specials, lottery sure tip tickets and 50/50 tickets will be sold. Cash bar.

Tickets are available at lowervalleyfoodbank.org/bingo and will be sold at the door. Bring a non-perishable food item and receive a free extra bingo card.
