Fall for Animals Festival planned Saturday and Sunday
The seventh annual Fall for Animals Festival to benefit local animal shelters and rescues will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Crooked Creek Horse Park, 467 Crooked Creek Dam Road, Manor.
There will be a Blessing of the Pets at 1 p.m. and a pet show at 2 p.m. Saturday. A car show will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Other activities will include craft and food vendors, a tractor show and parade, music, carriage rides and a basket raffle.

Information sought for veterans tribute booklet
The Genealogy Group at Leechburg Area Museum and Historical Society is collecting information about veterans to be published in a booklet.
Copies of the book will be sold and displayed at the museum. Information and photographs of veterans from Leechburg, Gilpin, West Leechburg, Allegheny Township and Hyde Park are being collected. There is no cost to participate.
Submission forms and instructions are available from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays at the museum, 118 First St., Leechburg, and at the Leechburg Public Library, Leechburg borough building and at the drive-thru window at the Gilpin Tax Office.
