Brackenridge bingo to aid Toys for Tots

A bingo to benefit Toys for Tots will be Nov. 20 at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 First Ave.

Doors open at 1 p.m. and early birds begin at 2:30 p.m. The purchase of prepaid packages is encouraged. Cost is $20 for a small package and $40 for a large package. There will be food, drinks, a basket auction and giveaways.

Bring a new unwrapped toy for a child 12 and younger and receive a free jackpot card. The facility is handicap accessible. For tickets and information call Deanna at 412-452-6596.

5K Holiday Dash planned Dec. 3 in Vandergrift

Registrations are being accepted for the Vandergrift Back When 5K Holiday Dash set for Dec. 3 in Vandergrift.

This is a timed event for walkers and runners. Prizes will be awarded to the top three males and females overall. Race day registration will be from 8:15 a.m. until the race begins at 9:30 a.m. There will be no packet pick up on Friday. The event begins at 154 Grant Ave., near Bobbie’s Jewelers and the finish line will be at 113 Grant Ave., near Sweetlane Chocolate Shop.
