Prospect Cemetery schedules ghost tours

Prospect Cemetery Historical Ghost Tours will be available every 10 minutes beginning at 6 p.m. Oct. 13:at the cemetery, 802 10^th Ave, Brackenridge.

Historical people from Tarentum and Brackenridge history will come to life and tell their stories. The event is appropriate for all ages. Bring a flashlight.

Tickets are $10. Reservations are required. For reservations, call 724-224-4552 and leave your name and telephone number. Proceeds are used toward the upkeep of the cemetery.

Free lunches available Thursday at Salvation Army

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone is welcome.

Final Leechburg Mingle on Market event set Thursday

The last Mingle on Market event of the season will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Leechburg.

Bring a chair to listen to Doug Carnahan on acoustic guitar from 4 to 6 p.m. and Magic and the Hot Metal Brass from 6 to 8 p.m., both on the lawn of the Masons Hall. A farmers market will be in the parking lot beside Fox’s Pizza and there will food trucks in front of the Masons Hall. Downtown businesses will be open until 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by Leechburg Area Community Association.
