Westmoreland County Marines to supply Christmas groceries

Westmoreland County Marines will provide Christmas groceries to local veterans’ families in need.

Paper shredding event planned Saturday in New Kensington

The New Kensington Salvation Army will host an onsite shredding event from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the center, 255 Third St.

Bring paper only to be shredded. No binders, binder clips or books, please.

In lieu of a fee, donations will be accepted for the Salvation Army Food Mart. Items needed include diapers, baby wipes, baby food, cereals and single rolls of toilet paper.

Drive-thru flu shots available at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital

A free drive-thru flu shot clinic for senior citizens and those with asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot behind behind the 100 and 200 medical arts buildings at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, 815 Freeport Road, Pittsburgh.

No appointment is necessary. Face masks and clothing that allows access to your upper arm must be worn. Please stay in your car at all times. No children under 18 will be vaccinated at this clinic. For details, call 412-784-5163.
