Leechburg Fall Festival planned Saturday

The Leechburg Fall Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in River Front Park behind Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market on Third Street.

There will be a petting zoo, food, crafters and potato launching at a target in the river. For details, call Leechburg Public Library at 724-236-0080.


Youth welcome at Fall Fun Fair

A free fall fun event for children will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday in Natrona Park and Playground, River Avenue, Harrison.

Sponsored by Fun and Freedom Youth Sports and Natrona Comes Together Association, there will be crafts, games, pumpkins and decorating kits, treat bags and a prize drawing at 1:45 pm.

Everyone is welcome.


Harrison Recreation Board to host fall festival

The Harrison Township Fall Festival will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Guardian Angels Parish, Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Sponsored by the township recreation board, there will be a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating and fall crafts.

Harmar   

Today: The free Thunder Thursdays Summer Music Series will feature the Tina Daniels Band at 7 p.m. at the pavilion at the Syria Shrine Center, 1877 Shriners Way. Rain or shine. Gates open at 6 p.m. There is free parking and food and beverages will be sold. No tailgating or outside food or drinks permitted. This is the last concert of the season.

Saturday: The Roaring Run Watershed Association and Trail will sponsor a bonfire and wagon rides starting at 3 p.m. at the main trail head, weather permitting. Wagon rides will be available for a donation to the Trail. Bring a chair and ingredients to make your own s’mores. A hot dog vendor will be available.

Oct. 18: An 80s Bingo will be hosted by Apollo-Ridge High School Marching Band Boosters at 6 p.m. at Kiski Township Volunteer Firehall, 1037 Route 56.
