Open house planned at NK senior center
The New Kensington Center for Active Adults, 1039 Third Ave., will host an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the center.
The Community Health Clinic Mobile Medical Van will offer covid-19 testing and vaccinations all day. Activities and presentations will include:
• 9 to 11 a.m., blood pressure screenings

• 10:30 a.m., Kathy Pehanick from Senior Community Service Employment Program will speak at 10:30 a.m. about offering paid training for unemployed job applicants 55 and older who are willing to update and learn new skills.

Vandergrift library adjusts operating schedule
Vandergrift Public Library, 128C Washington Ave., has updated its operating hours for browsing, computer use, copying and faxing.
Hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
