Pet supply collection planned in Allegheny Township

Allegheny Township Police Department will collect supplies for animal rescues in the area during September.

Leechburg Walk for Hunger seeking participants

A Walk for Hunger to benefit the Leechburg Food Bank and Community Providing Alternatives to Hunger (PATH) will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 on the new Leechburg Hiking Trail.

Participants will collect pledges and walk from the Leechburg Firehall to the former Bagdad plant of Allegheny Technologies in Gilpin and back. Food and refreshments will be available on the walk.
