Benefit drag queen bingo planned Sunday
A drag queen bingo to benefit paralyzed Navy veteran Dan Hika of New Kensington will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at AK Valley Park, 600 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
Doors open at noon and those attending must be at least 21 years old. Entertainment will be by Miss Thea’s Drag Queen Bingo.
Admission is $35 and includes a buffet dinner and beverages. There will be specials, opportunities for photos, a basket raffle and 50/50 raffle. For tickets, call 724-672-2469.
Art exhibit ongoing at Peoples Library
The Lower Burrell location of Peoples Library, 3052 Wachter Ave., will display the works of artist Peter Cehily during September and October.
The exhibit includes acrylic paintings, mixed media and digital photography.
Spaghetti dinner to aide cancer patient
Change for Cancer will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit cancer patient Samantha Bingman of Lower Burrell from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 First Ave.
There will be a 50/50 raffle and basket auction. Cost is $10; 12 and younger, $6, dine in or takeout. Tickets can be purchased in advance and will be available at the door. For tickets, call 724-994-7646 or at the door. Proceeds will help with Bingman’s medical expenses.

• Springdale High School Class of 1969 will have a 70th birthday party reunion from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday in the pavilion behind the Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars, 894 Veterans Lane. Classmates and guests welcome.
