Tickets on sale for Leechburg-Gilpin Lions purse bash

Leechburg-Gilpin Lions Club will sponsor a purse bash from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave., Leechburg.

Free course to inform loved ones about mental illness

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will offer a free Family-to-Family educational course at 6 p.m. Wednesdays Sept. 28 through Nov. 26 at the Butler office, Holly Pointe Building, 220 S. Main St.

The program is for family members, significant others and friends of people who have a mental health condition. Topics will include current treatments and therapies, handling crises, solving problems and managing your own stress.

Photograph submissions sought for Roaring Run calendar

Roaring Run Watershed Association is looking for photograph submissions for its 2023 calendar.

Photographs should highlight the natural beauty of Roaring Run property and the Kiskiminetas River. Calendar sales will be a fundraiser for the association.
