Leechburg Area Pool golf outing set for Oct. 7
A golf outing to benefit Leechburg Area Pool and the Dom Guido Scholarship will be Oct. 7 at the Apollo Elks, 151 Elks Lodge Road, Kiski Township.
Check-in will be at noon and the shotgun start will be at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $100 per person, and includes food, beverages and a cart.

Bingo fundraiser to benefit New Ken K9 Unit
A bingo to benefit the New Kensington Police K9 Unit will be Sept. 16 at VooDoo Brewing Co., 956 Fifth Ave., New Kensington.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and bingo with open seating will start at 7 p.m. There will be 10 rounds of bingo hosted by Picking the Brain Trivia, food, signature cocktails, an opportunity to meet the dogs and a 50/50 raffle. Help needed at New Kensington cat shelter
Zen Cat Sanctuary is looking for volunteers to help out at the shelter in New Kensington.

Murder mystery fundraiser to benefit library
Community Library of Allegheny Valley will host a murder mystery fundraiser “Murder in the Library” from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the library, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Harrison.
