Chicken Marsala and wine on the menu at Peoples Library fundraiser
Peoples Library will sponsor a drive-thru Adventure with Wine takeout meal with wine from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 with pick-up in the parking lot behind the New Kensington location, 880 Barnes St.
The menu will be by Hoffstot’s Café Monaco of Oakmont and will include a mixed greens salad with cider poppyseed vinaigrette, chicken Marsala, rosemary and shallot mashed potatoes, baby green beans, a pumpkin gob and wine.

Pet blessings to mark feast day of St. Francis of Assisi
Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish, East Vandergrift, and St. James Parish, Apollo, will offer blessings to pets at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, 420 McKinley Ave., and 5:30 p.m. Sunday at St. James Parish, 109 Owens View Ave.
Well-behaved dogs, cats, fish, birds and other animals and their owners are welcome.
